Script 01

I began the writing of the script. I am trying to be as detailed as possible, so that the shooting is easier, but still leave room for flexibility, and improvement. This is presenting a challenge, however my group and I are going through the shots one at a time, and discussing them as we go, which means the end result should be to everyones satisfaction. 


SCENE ONE


EXT. BEDROOM- EARLY AFTERNOON


Extreme close up of MIA's eye closed. Smears of dark makeup around her eye. Her eyes flutter open. The camera slowly zooms out to reveal her bedroom. Areal shot. Her bedroom is 50's style. Perfectly neat bedroom, to show contrast between MIA and her lifestyle. She sits up in her bed, and leans her elbows on her knee, and rubs her head in pain. She looks around the room and gets up. Cut to under the bed. You see her feet walking about, then leaving the room


ext.stair case


Cut to a full length shot of her stumbling down the stairs and holding her head. She turns to the dining room.

Point of view shot of the 50's style dinning room. MIA's mother, father, and sister, all styled 50's "perfect" setting the table for tea. point of view MIA opening the fridge, match on action. Shot from the fridge of MIA looking around, taking the milk, and drinking it from the bottle.Mother enters and begins to shout at MIA. MIA continues to drink the milk, then licks the top of the bottle of the milk and puts in back in the fridge. The mother slaps MIA then they shout and each other, and she storms out of the kitchen.


ext.bedroom phone call


Ellipses mid shot to MIA looking at herself in the mirror. MIA looks sadly at herself, and traces the makeup stains on her face with her hands.


Fast paced cutting. Close-up on the Phone as it vibrates, MIA picks up phone. Mid shot of MIA looking at the phone and then the camera cuts to a tilt over her shoulder, capturing the text that she has been sent: 'PARTY. 26 REDGROVE DRIVE. YOU GAME?'. Camera cuts back to the mid shot as MIA texts back, camera cuts back to tilt showing her reply 'I'M THERE'.


MID SHOT of has one more glance at the mirror. Cut to MIA getting ready for the party.


Fast cuts. Close up of eye shadow being applied. Close up of lip gloss. Close up of stocking being pulled on. Close up  of hair being done.Close up earing's on Same camera angle as mirror mid shot, but MIA is fully changed for the party.


Mid shot of MIA storming down the stairs. MIA looks back at her family in the dinning room , perhaps at the closed door, and walks past the right side of the camera's view.  going through the shots one at a time, and discussing them as we go, which means the end result should be to everyones satisfaction.
