Reviews from the British Comedy guide promoting the low budget TV series 'Misfits' that captured its audience through the strong story line and characters. 'Misfits' became hugely popular, and managed to spread its target audience to many different age groups. Unfortunately much of this was through the comedic aspect of the series, which without dialogue, my short film will find it hard to achieve.
"Misfits" and "Skins" have been compared, and dubbed under "More Naughty young 'uns" as they both feature the darker side of the youth of today, contrasting to many American teenaged dramas like "The OC" and " 90210" which show teenagers as beautiful people, always tanned, with constant drama, but without serious issues to deal with, which make entertaining viewing, but lack relatable characters for the audience to connect with.
