In the TV drama "Misfits" camera techniques are used that I am planning on using in my short film, as they stick to the codes and conventions of teenaged dramas.
Extreme close up on the characters face to show emotion.
Long shots with different levels to show depth and status.
Open body language to suggest sexual interest.
Shot reverse shot used during intense conversations.
